I have been connected with Shobnall Primary School for a number of years.  My roles have included Road Safety Trainer, Relief Janitor, and more recently, Lunchtime Supervisor.  As a Governor I have seen many changes including the addition of extra classrooms and improvements of the school hall.  I believe Shobnall is a warm and friendly school and I am proud to be part of it.

I have worked at Shobnall School as a Janitor for several years and have seen many changes to our impressive school buildings.  My role in school is to maintain the buildings and grounds and also clean windows – oh so many windows!

I am also the School Crossing Patrol Attendant so I get to meet many children and parents on their way to and from school.  I enjoy chatting to them about what they are up to at home and at school.  So life on the crossing is never dull!

I have worked at Shobnall School for nearly 2 years, but have volunteered as a parent helper over many years.  I have children who have attended Shobnall School and so have been part of Shobnall School Community for sometime.  I enjoy working with the children.

My pastimes and hobbies are walking, gardening, cooking and arts and crafts.  I also enjoy supporting my daughter when she plays football for a girls’ team at the weekend.

I have worked at Shobnall Primary School for just over a year as a Lunchtime Supervisor and parent helper in Nursery.  I enjoy interacting with the children and watching them flourish in everything they do under the guidance of the staff and teachers.

I like to spend my spare time with my family and friends.  However, at weekends I become a football widow to my husband Paul which gives me an excuse to go shopping with my daughter Gracie.

I have been associated with Shobnall School since 1988 as both my daughters attended the school.  I myself started here as a cleaner in 1989.  I have seen many changes in the school and parents, children and staff come and go.  Shobnall has played a large part in my life and I hope to continue working here for many years to come.

Hi, my name is Jane Lakin, I have worked at Shobnall Primary School as a lunchtime supervisor for the past few years.

I enjoy working here and watching the children grow and develop their own and very individual personalities.

In my spare time I enjoy watching my children horse ride and play football.

I have worked at Shobnall School for several years in a variety of roles which has enabled me to see many aspects of school life.

I enjoy working with and supporting all the wonderful children in school.  It’s a pleasure to watch them grow and develop and I feel proud to be part of the school team.

In my spare time I like to go out walking with my family and my dog.

MRS. COPEMAN

I joined Shobnall Primary School almost 3 years ago.  My primary job is to assist at lunchtimes in the dining hall and playground.  I enjoy interacting with the children and have put myself forward for some voluntary work at the school.  The most challenging part for me is helping the children with their maths and reading.  I enjoy being a part of the ‘TEAM’ and always feel welcome.

When I am not at school I am spending time with my daughter Victoria – we enjoy doing things together, especially swimming and cycling.

MRS. INGER

Hi my name is Julia I am part of the Catering Team at Shobnall Primary School.  I enjoy preparing and serving food for the children who are very polite and happy.

MRS. LAMBERT

Hi, my name is Sue and I work in the kitchen.  One of my favourite parts of my job is solving the little problems our children have such as tying an untied shoelace and trying to find out why some little person is suddenly at the front of the dinner queue when they started at the back!!

MRS. WHETTON

I thoroughly enjoy working at Shobnall School.  I like helping with the creative activities as the children seem to get a great deal of fun and enjoyment from their painting and craft sessions.  The children always make me smile and that is why I particularly enjoy working voluntary in the classrooms.
