Teachers Teach Assist Support per Specialist Support Staff Admin

MRS. ROOBOTTOM - Head Teacher

It is a privilege to be Head Teacher of our school.  My colleagues are very committed to the care and welfare of our delightful children. Shobnall has a lovely caring family feel and I am fortunate to be a part of it.

My hobbies are cooking and my ambition is to appear on Come Dine with Me!

MR. CRUISE - Deputy Head Teacher & Year 6

I have worked at Shobnall Primary School for several years as Deputy Head Teacher.  It has been fantastic to work alongside so many different teachers and support staff within my time at Shobnall and also to have the opportunity to work and support the children here at school.

I have the unfortunate pleasure of supporting my beloved Sheffield United who frequently let me down and it never ceases to amaze me that so many children (and Mrs. Waldron) take great pleasure in reminding me when we have lost!  It is equally strange how quiet these same voices are when we win (a rare event!)

I enjoy spending time with my family and ‘entertaining’ my daughters, Olivia and Ava.

My escapism is to spend time on my Playstation 3 although there never seems to be enough time to play on it as my job gets in the way!

MRS. GILBERT - Nursery Year

I am the Nursery Teacher at Shobnall Primary School.  I love working with the early year’s children and to watch them grow and mature into independent confident learners.  It is very interesting to hear the little anecdotes from the children that come from home - PARENTS BEWARE!

In my spare time (ha-ha) I enjoy socialising with family and friends and I love going on holiday.

MRS. BICKLEY - Reception Year

I am Mrs. Bickley.  I am the Reception class teacher and Early Year’s co-ordinator.  I really enjoy working withy ‘our little children’.  It gives me great pleasure joining in play activities to help the children develop their knowledge and skills as they begin their school learning journey.  I am also the Science co‑ordinator which fits in well with my hobbies and pastimes.

I relax by gardening and have an allotment which provides me with a wide range of scrumptious fruit and vegetables to eat!  I enjoy walking in the natural environment when I have time to spare.

MISS. COOPER - Year One

I am Miss Cooper and have been a teacher for five years. I have recently been travelling around the world. During my travels I was fortunate enough to see magnificent sights and take part in lots of exciting activities. This included scuba diving, swimming with dolphins, a sky dive and a bungy jump.

I am thoroughly looking forward to teaching the Year 1 class at Shobnall Primary School. In my spare time I like going to the gym and have recently tried Zumba.

MISS. MILLIGAN - Year Two

I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year at Shobnall Primary school and I am looking forward to the next academic year.  I feel I have learnt a lot during the past year at Shobnall, as the staff have been very supportive and welcomed me as part of their team at the school.  I have also enjoyed meeting the parents who are crucial to maintaining the excellent standards at Shobnall Primary school.  In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, horse riding and socialising with friends.

MISS. ODELL - Year Three

I am Miss Odell and I am the Year 3 class teacher and the Literacy co-ordinator.  I love it when the children ask me challenging questions that really make me think!

Reading is one of my passions.  I enjoy all sorts of books and I read as much as possible.  My ambition is to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.  I also like boxer dogs.

MR. PROSSER - Year Four

I am delighted to be part of the Shobnall Primary School Team. I can bring a wealth of experience teaching across the West Midlands, iIn Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and Special Educational Needs Settings. I enjoy cooking and although not an avid football supporter I am keen to follow the exploits of my local team, Aston Villa Football Club.

MRS. WALDRON -Year Five

Hi! I’m Mrs. Waldron and I work at Shobnall Primary School as the Year 5 class teacher.  My role also includes me being the ICT, PE and Extra Curricular Club Co-ordinator.  Furthermore, I organise and monitor “Active Playgrounds” within school.  I thoroughly enjoy working at this outstanding school as the children are a pleasure to teach and all members of staff are very supportive.

In my spare time, I enjoy supporting Leicester City with my Dad – I’ve been a season ticket holder for over 15 years.  Socialising with my family and friends is also something I enjoy.
