I have been secretary for the PFA since September 2010 and a parent at the school for over 20 years. All four of my children have attended Shobnall Primary with only my youngest child still at the school. My eldest child having attended the school over 20 years ago has qualified as a teacher and has done some supply work at Shobnall..
I have been a member of the PFA twice – originally sixteen years ago and then I rejoined when my youngest daughter started school. I enjoy being involved in the fund raising activities which the PFA get involved in.
I enjoy spending time with my family and am involved in a number of their activities – I am the team administrator for Jacob’s football team and also help at his theatre group.
I volunteered to be treasurer for the PFA in October 2011. I really admire the work that has been done by the existing and previous PFA; they work extraordinarily hard to support our fantastic school and I hope that I can be a useful addition to the team. I have one daughter in Reception and my youngest daughter will be starting preschool in September 2012.
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, reading, swimming, travelling, eating nice food and shopping.
My name is Paul Burton. I enjoy helping the PFA at their events. I do the barbecues, supervise the school discos and set up at all the events. I especially enjoy seeing the children having a good time.
I have one child at Shobnall Primary School in Year 3.
I work as a manager in the Food Industry and in my spare time enjoy spending time with my family.
I have been on the PFA for about 12 months and during this time have supported such events as School Discos & Sports Day.
I like to support work of school and do so by working alongside teachers in their class rooms. I also work on the Parent and Friends Committee and organize social events and raise funds for the school.
Being involved at Shobnall Primary School is a thoroughly enjoyable experience, especially when as the children are so enthusiastic and keen to learn.
I have been involved with Shobnall Primary School for many years, as a parent, governor, a classroom helper and a member of the PFA. Being a member of the PFA is a lovely way to be a part of the school community and is a good way to get to know other parents. I enjoy helping to organise fund-raising events. It is great to see the children, their families and friends enjoying themselves at the many organised events.

I enjoy helping with the Parents and Friends Association to raise additional funds for the benefit of the children. The social events organised by our Association are always a huge success as they are well supported by our parental community. It is a privilege working with such a happy school.
