This week Year 2 have been using natural materials to apply their maths knowledge. The children decided that they could use sticks to represent tens and leafs or pinecones to represent ones. Here you can see 3 sticks and then 3 pinecones that represent the number 33. The children used loppers to create their sticks and to ensure they were all the same size!
