Year 4

Hello and welcome to Year 4! My name is Mrs Knight and I am the Year 4 class teacher. I have worked at Shobnall Primary School for the past three years and I really enjoy teaching Year 4. I have two children who are also primary age who I enjoy spending time with at the weekend with my dog, Bruce!

This year is all about learning times tables and feeling more confident when answering them.

Mr Rowley, Mrs Traczyk and Mrs Riley will be working with us this year!

If you would like to find out a bit more about Mrs Knight, have a look at the poster below…

Key Information

Each week, Year 4 children will receive homework which is handed out on Fridays. This will consist of a piece of English or Maths homework, spellings to learn (which will be loaded onto Spelling Shed every week), a times table to learn for a Friday test and also reading. The children are expected to read at least three times every week.  All Year 4 children will take part in the National Multiplication Check in June 2021. Times Tables Rock Stars will help your child to learn their times tables.

P.E will be on Wednesdays. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, P.E will be taught outside as much as is possible in smaller groups. Children will need to come to school in their kit on their allocated day. An outdoor kit should consist of jogging bottoms, a sweatshirt and trainers. For health and safety, children who wear earrings should have these removed on P.E. days.
